Limited Edition Fine Art Photographs by Robert Malmberg

What began as a self-funded solo expedition across southeast Iceland evolved into a fine art series exploring beauty, impermanence, and our connection to the natural world.

Photographed along the glacier outlets of Iceland’s southeastern coast, the work captures landscapes in transition, where ancient ice meets volcanic earth and shifting light.

The series will be presented as a solo exhibition at St. Cloud Rooftop at The Knickerbocker Hotel in New York, opening on Earth Day, April 22, 2026, with large-format framed prints installed overlooking Times Square.

Originally launched in collaboration with the Iceland Nature Conservation Association (INCA), the project continues to support awareness around glacier preservation and the protection of Iceland’s fragile highland ecosystems.

Select works from the series are available as limited-edition, museum-grade prints.

Each photograph is produced using archival pigment inks on heavyweight Hahnemühle fine art paper and is signed and numbered in studio. Large-format and custom sizes are available upon request.

The Fire < Ice project is also evolving into a fine art monograph, currently in development.
